Best Holsters for Sig P365 (P365XL,P365X, P365 SAS)

Best Holsters for Sig P365, P365XL

There are many holster options available for the Sig P365, P365XL, P365X, and P365 SAS which can make it difficult to decide which one is best. If you are trying to decide which holster is the best for you, then you have come to the right place!

Below we have provided a list of what to look for in a holster for your firearm, as well as our picks for the best options. If you are wanting to carry a version of the Sig Sauer P365, then any of the holsters we list will be a great choice for a safe and comfortable carry experience.

What to Look for in a Sig Sauer P365 Holster

When looking for a holster for your Sig Sauer P365 (P365XL, P365X, or P365 SAS), there are a few things that are important to keep in mind. Remember that not all holsters will fit a Sig P365. You need to verify that the holster you are considering is designed to hold your firearm.

Here are three things to ask yourself when looking for a holster. If you can answer these three questions it will save a lifetime of unused purchases and drawers full of holsters.

How Are You Going To Carry?

There are so many ways to carry. The recommended way is either IWB (AIWB) or OWB. If you choose Pocket, Ankle, Off body, etc…it will take longer to draw the firearm.

It is best to decide how you are going to carry first, as it will narrow down your choices. Once you choose the way you are going to carry you can rule out other types. Be sure you focus on the holsters that work for your carry style.

Carry Position Options

  • IWB
  • AIWB
  • OWB
  • Pocket
  • Belly Band
  • Shoulder
  • Ankle
  • Off Body (Purse or Backpack)
  • Bra
  • Thigh

What Material Do You Prefer?

There are three primary types of materials used in holsters. This is basically a preference choice, however you do want to make sure the material used is stiff enough to not get caught in the trigger guard when reholstering.

Three Types of Holster Material

  • Kydex
  • Leather
  • Hybrid (Kydex & Leather mix)

Many old school guys prefer the look and feel of leather, while many others prefer the function and safety of the Kydex holsters. Any will work fine as long as you make sure the holster is safe and functional.

Is It Safe and Functional?

Safety is priority number one. Be sure you get a holster that has good coverage of the trigger guard and retains the firearm well. Keeping the gun in the holster and the trigger covered will be the safest thing you can do when concealed carrying.

While safety is number one, you also need to take into account the ability to draw the firearm smoothly from the holster. You want your tension on the gun to be enough to hold it in place, but not so much that you struggle in your draw.

Best Holsters for Sig P365, P365XL, P365X, and P365 SAS

Once you have in mind what you are looking for in a holster for your Sig P365, then read on and check out our list below. You should be able to find one that matches your needs, as we tried to cover many types and price points. If the holster made our list, it is a good choice for that style of carry.

We started the list with our two favorites. Both the Tier 1 Axis Elite and the Tulster Profile holster can be carried AIWB, and the Tulster can be carried at other IWB positions as well. If you are carrying inside the waistband and any position (and like Kydex), one of those two are a great choice.

Tier 1 Axis Elite

If you are going to carry appendix style, then this is your best option. It does come with a higher price point, but you do get what you pay for in this instance.

Tier 1 gives you a huge selection of options for your holster. The options include draw style, colors (holster and other materials), belt clip style, as well as accommodations for accessories.

If you are a “bigger guy or gal”, and still want to carry appendix, this holster will probably work well. I am 6′ and 250 lbs and carry easily with this holster. The slim profile of the holster, along with the flexibility it provides makes it as comfortable of holster as possible for AIWB.

  • Attached magazine carrier

CYA Supply Co.

CYA Holster Sig P365XL

Available on Amazon

Sometimes, we’re looking for the coolest, most tactical piece of kit we can afford to make the best possible setup. Other times, we need a relatively affordable holster to safely conceal carry a handgun. For cases like the latter, this CYA Supply holster is the way to go.

Basically, this is an IWB holster meant for the Sig P365 that doesn’t have any attachments. Thus, it’s pretty clear that this is intended for folks who use their P365 as an everyday carry tool, and this holster lines up well with that philosophy.

The big style of belt clip returns here, which we like. The holster itself certainly does the job, and the ethos behind it is even better in two regards.

CYA is owned by veterans, and this holster is made in the USA. Especially now, being able to support and American company, and get a good piece of kit at a reasonable price is hard to find.

If carrying a simple setup that is easy to conceal and doesn’t break the bank is what you’re looking for, then the CYA Supply Company IWB holster is an excellent option.

Blackpoint Tactical

Blackpoint Tactical Sig P365XL

Available on Amazon

Most IWB holsters are some variation on the same theme, and are really designed to carry off to one side or another. These days, more and more people are carrying appendix, which can be a little uncomfortable with how wide some holsters are. The one from Blackpoint tactical seeks to address that with this slim holster that, in effect, only has the material it needs to cover the trigger safely. Given that the P365 is striker fired and thus has no exposed hammer, this is a great holster design that takes advantage of the features of the gun.

Two things stand out on this one in particular. First is the wide belt hook that will go over most belts and will lock the holster well into place. This is especially important with appendix carry, as the gun moving around gets really uncomfortable.

Second, there’s a little wing that comes off of the holster, which presses it against the belt and keeps it from rotating. This is an excellent feature, as it will, with the belt hook, keep the holster locked right where you put it. For a smaller, minimal looking holster for appendix carriers, this is an awesome option.

Crossbreed Mini Tuck

Crossbreed MiniTuck Sig P365

Available on Amazon

As far as design goes, the Crossbreed Mini Tuck takes advantage of a lot of different styles and materials to give an excellent IWB holster. The main body of the holster is Kydex, so it will last forever and retains the gun well. For more comfort, the panel that sits against you is leather, which will mold to your shape. Add two belt clips, and you have the making of an excellent holster.

Aside from the design and material choices, the thing we love about this holster is the little piece of leather that extends past the body of the holster. This provides a barrier between you and the back portion of the slide of your P365. This will make it a lot more comfortable to carry, as well as keeping sweat off the gun, which will help the finish hold up better over time.

Details About the Crossbreed Mini Tuck Holster

  • Extremely comfortable
  • Wear at the 3 to 5 O’clock position
  • Leather and Kydex material used

Relentless Tactical Defender Leather

Relentless Tactical Defender Sig P365

Available on Amazon

For some folks, the tactical styling of a lot of modern holsters is unappealing, and we understand that. That’s where a holster like this one, from Tactical Defender, comes in handy. It’s a simple, elegantly designed leather holster, IWB, with a belt clip. Nothing more, nothing less, and it certainly gets the job done.

It comes in a few different colors, so you can pick one that matches your style, and that of your firearm most closely. Over time, if you carry the same gun in this holster, the leather will mold to it, making the fit better over time.

While this holster will not have the best retention, its more general shape is one of its pluses. This holster can fit handguns of a similar size to the P365, whether or not they’re the same gun. Thus, this holster would be ideal for people who own multiple compact handguns and want to carry each of them without needing a dedicated holster for each gun. We’d recommend these for people with either multiple guns, or simply folks who prefer a leather IWB holster.

Bravo Concealment OWB

Bravo Concealment OWB Sig P365

Available on Amazon

While a lot of OWB holsters are more suited to open carry, this one, by Bravo Concealment, is tailored for concealed carry. The slim profile of this polymer holster keeps the firearm tucked neatly against the body, and something like a t shirt or a light jacket will keep your P365 well concealed.

This is a well-built holster that’s meant to have a proper gun belt threaded through it, meaning that you will get good concealability and retention if you take the time to set it up.

Using this holster, you can take advantage of some of the benefits of carrying OWB, namely that it usually means a faster draw if you need to get to your gun. This will necessitate making sure that your shirts or jackets are big enough, especially in terms of length, to accommodate the gun.

While this kind of carry is most common in full-size handguns, the smallness of the P365 makes us think that it would do well in this sort of carry, as the smaller frame of this compact is a lot less likely to print than, say, a Glock17.

  • Adjustable retention
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Great retention
  • Able to conceal OWB

Winthrop Holsters Leather OWB

Winthrop Holster OWB Sig P365

Available on Amazon

Another entry into the OWB space, this holster from Winthrop is a great option for people who like OWB but might want to carry different guns. This holster, importantly, can fit any similarly sized gun: this might affect retention just a little bit, but will allow you to switch between different guns if you so choose, as long as they’re around the same size.

The OWB market tends to be fairly dominated by right-hand friendly products, so it’s nice to see that this one also comes in a left-handed configuration for those people as well. Like most good OWB holsters, this one is meant to have a belt threaded through it. This aids in retention, which is one of the things that often makes OWB holsters so good: it’s nearly impossible to get the gun off of you unless you want to remove it.

  • Premium grade cowhide leather
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Extremely comfortable
  • Fits 1.5 inch belts

DeSantis Nemesis Pocket Holster

Desantis Nemesis Pocket Holster

Available on Amazon

So far this piece has covered OWB and IWB holsters, but there are some other options for your P365 that you should be aware of. The first is pocket holsters.

The Desantis Nemesis is basically a sleeve that goes over the gun. It provides a grip texture to the outside of the sleeve to aid in keeping the holster in the pocket during the draw. It also provides decent trigger protection while inside the pocket.

These are well suited for carrying in the pocket or the pocket of a jacket. Another option with a pocket holster it to use them for off-body carry in a  backpack or some other kind of bag. While it will take some practice to learn how to draw well from a pocket or bag, pocket holsters can be great options for holstering your P365.

While we recommend a more traditional IWB or OWB holster for concealed carry, we understand that a pocket holster is much better than choosing to not carry at all. Also, pocket holsters can be very convenient.

Details About the DeSantis Nemesis Pocket Holster

  • Ambidextrous
  • Sticky outside allows good draw
  • Very low price
  • Fits many firearms

ComforTac Ultimate Belly Band

ComforTac Ultimate Belly Band Sig P365

Available on Amazon

Another option for a different kind of holster is this belly band by Comfortac. These are basically a neoprene band that has a holster stitched around it, and it gives you new options for concealed carrying your P365. The band has spots for the pistol itself in either left or right handed configuration, as well as a spare magazine and a spot for a knife or other small object.

While these may get a bit hot for hard workouts, these sorts of holsters are awesome for casual outdoor activities like walking, or for concealed carrying when, for instance, you’re wearing pants or shorts that don’t have belt loops. It will take practice and some time to get used to drawing from one of these belly bands, but the concealability and flexibility that they offer makes them worth considering.

Details About the ComforTac Ultimate Belly Band Holster

  • Very low price
  • Fits many firearms
  • Holds extra mag or phone
  • No belt needed
  • Great for jogging
