Recommended Concealed Carry Belts (2026)
Quick answer: A concealed carry belt must be stiff enough to hold a holstered gun without sagging, about 1.5 inches wide to fit most holster clips, and sized by the maker’s guide. Ratchet belts like KORE and Nexbelt adjust in small steps; reinforced leather belts suit dress clothes. These are the belts we currently recommend.

How To Choose a Gun Belt
- Reinforced: double-layer leather or nylon with a polymer or steel core, so the holster does not sag.
- Width: about 1.5 inches fits most holster clips.
- Adjustment: ratchet belts adjust in small steps; leather uses holes.
- Look: leather for dress clothes, nylon for casual and active use.
- Sizing: many makers suggest about 2 inches over pants size for IWB; follow each maker’s guide.

Recommended Gun Belts
Reinforced ratchet belt with small fit adjustments. Specifications depend on the selected strap and buckle: nylon and leather models have different load ratings and size ranges. Follow the exact model’s sizing instructions before trimming.
Top-grain leather with woven nylon reinforcement. Available in 1.25-inch and 1.5-inch widths; approximately 1/4-inch thick. Seven holes spaced 1 inch apart. CrossBreed’s lifetime warranty excludes belts; check the current trial and resizing terms.
Standard Ultimate model: manufacturer lists a 1.5-inch, 14-ounce full-grain US leather belt, handmade in the USA. Traditional hole adjustment. Lifetime warranty is subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Check measured size, current price and delivery; this is not the separately named Steel Core model.
Full-grain leather reinforced with scuba nylon; manufacturer lists USA production. This entry describes the reinforced Independence version. Check the selected closure, measured belt size and current warranty terms; other Independence variants differ.
Manufacturer specifications: 1.5-inch width, two layers of scuba webbing, hook-and-loop closure and metal-free construction. Includes a magazine holder. Select the measured belt size from WTP’s chart; pant size is not the same as belt size. Fit and comfort vary.
Alternative holster system made from elastic and neoprene, with removable pouches and a phone pocket. Manufacturer states it is NOT compatible with pistol-mounted weapon lights. Check measured belly size, handedness and exact firearm compatibility. A broad fit claim does not establish safe retention or trigger protection.
