Best Holsters For Glock 43 & Glock 43x
A Glock 43, Glock 43X and Glock 43X MOS are not interchangeable holster specifications. Some manufacturers support more than one model in a particular shell; that does not establish universal fit across a brand or product family. An optic, rail or attached light can change the compatibility question. Still choosing between the 43, 43X and other models? See our best Glocks for concealed carry.
Factual editorial review: October 23, 2026. This guide separates manufacturer-listed features, exact fit boundaries and Corey Rawlins’ original firsthand observations. The 12 existing entries are references, not a measured first-to-twelfth ranking. There is no universal “best” holster for every body, firearm or configuration.
Glock 43, 43X and MOS: Read the Fit Claim Carefully
| Configuration | What needs explicit confirmation |
|---|---|
| Glock 43 | The exact shell must list G43; a similar-looking 43X shell is not sufficient evidence. |
| Glock 43X without rail | Use the manufacturer’s corresponding model designation, not just “Slimline.” |
| Glock 43X MOS / rail variant | Bare-frame compatibility must be established separately from installed-optic clearance. |
| Pistol with an optic | The holster needs clearance for the actual optic and sight configuration. “MOS fits” alone is insufficient. |
| Pistol with a light or laser | The maker must identify the exact pistol/accessory combination. A generic optic cut does not establish light fit. |
| Different holster generation | Original Profile versus Profile+, Ventcore 1.0 versus 2.0, and Independence versus Slimfit are distinct references. |
GLOCK identifies the 43X MOS as having both an optic-cut slide and a Slim Mounting Rail. Whether a third-party holster fits is the holster maker’s claim, not an endorsement or certification by GLOCK. No physical fit test was performed for this revision.
The 12 Existing Holster References
The table summarizes design categories; each section below provides its source and limitations. IWB means inside the waistband; OWB means outside the waistband. Those labels describe the mounting arrangement, not legal eligibility or a safety rating.

| We The People IWB | IWB Kydex shell |
| Independence IWB Leather | IWB leather |
| CrossBreed MiniTuck | Hybrid IWB |
| Tulster OATH | IWB rigid shell |
| StealthGear Ventcore 2.0 Appendix | Appendix holster; optional magazine carrier attachment |
| StealthGearUSA Ventcore 2.0 IWB Mini | Hybrid IWB |
| Alien Gear ShapeShift 4.0 | Hybrid IWB |

| CrossBreed Purse Defender | Bag insert plus modular holster |
The existing product-card routes are retained. Several lead to a product family or collection rather than an exact configured Glock shell. Card images can show another version. Promotional codes or prices shown by a merchant are subject to its current terms; this review did not validate discounts, inventory or credited commissions.
Tulster Profile
| Design category | IWB rigid shell |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | TUL_PFL_G43X_BLK_RH; right-hand reference |
| Pistol fit evidence | Maker lists G43, G43X Silver/Black and G43X MOS with rail. |
| Optic / light boundary | Original Profile is not optic-compatible. Bare MOS-frame fit is not installed-optic clearance. |
Tulster lists adjustable retention, a full sweat shield and a 1.5-inch Quick Clip. Profile+ is a separate optic-compatible series, not a new name for every original Profile. The original article’s broad “Profile cannot take an optic” statement applies to the original model discussed here.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey reported purchasing the original Profile for many of his carry pistols and described its retention “snap.” This is his historical handling experience; it does not identify every pistol or shell he owned.
Existing merchant reference: Tulster.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
We The People IWB
| Design category | IWB Kydex shell |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Glock 43/43X Red Dot Optic Cut IWB reference |
| Pistol fit evidence | The reference listing names 43/43X and says it works with and without rails. |
| Optic / light boundary | Optic cut is specified for this reference. Attached-light fit is not established by that statement. |
The source lists adjustable retention, ride height and cant. The original product card routes to a broader collection, which is not proof that the displayed variant is the same as this reference. Confirm the precise product identity rather than transferring features across the brand.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey wrote that he owned several We The People holsters and liked the range of finishes and their value. Those are personal impressions, not a current price comparison or proof that every model has the same fit.
Existing merchant reference: WeThePeopleHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
Independence IWB Leather
| Design category | IWB leather |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Original Independence IWB; not Slimfit |
| Pistol fit evidence | Current original-series page requires firearm and configuration choices; all Glock variants were not individually confirmed. |
| Optic / light boundary | The source presents RDS-cut and light/laser fields; this does not mean every combination is supported. |
The original reference lists full-grain leather and tuckable clips. The newer Independence Slimfit uses a different design and size-based fit system, so its specifications must not be substituted for this entry. The earlier four-layer and double-layer descriptions were inconsistent and are omitted without a traceable construction specification.
Existing merchant reference: WeThePeopleHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
CrossBreed MiniTuck
| Design category | Hybrid IWB |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | MiniTuck molded shell with leather backer |
| Pistol fit evidence | CrossBreed includes MiniTuck in its 43X MOS collection; exact shell and accessory selection still matter. |
| Optic / light boundary | A MOS collection listing alone does not establish clearance for every installed optic or light. |
The maker describes a molded Kydex pocket, leather backer and steel belt clips with adjustable cant and ride height. Its published intended location is behind the draw-side hip. Do not treat the smaller MiniTuck as identical to the SuperTuck or infer interchangeable shells.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: The original article described the leather backer conforming over time. That is a qualitative comfort observation, not a measured guarantee of comfort for another wearer.
Existing merchant reference: CrossBreedHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
Tulster OATH
| Design category | IWB rigid shell |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | TUL_OTH_G43X_BLK; ambidextrous reference |
| Pistol fit evidence | Maker lists G43, G43X Silver/Black and G43X MOS with rail. |
| Optic / light boundary | Maker identifies this OATH as optic-ready; this does not establish attached-light compatibility. |
OATH stands for Optic-Ready, Ambidextrous, Tuckable Holster. The reference includes a 1.5-inch DCC metal clip. Handedness is configured through its hardware; follow the maker’s instructions. OATH and Profile+ are distinct series, and neither is the original Profile.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey expressed a preference for OATH when an optic or tuckable attachment was relevant. The surviving paragraph is an attributed preference, not a documented comparative test.
Existing merchant reference: Tulster.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
StealthGear Ventcore 2.0 Appendix
| Design category | Ventilated appendix (AIWB) holster; optional Ventcore 2.0 Appendix IWB Plus Mag Carrier attachment (+$49, sold separately) |
| Pistol fit listed | Glock G43, G43X/G43X MOS, G43/G43X with Streamlight TLR-6, and G43X MOS with TLR-7 Sub |
| Optic / sight boundary | Maker lists red-dot, suppressor-sight and threaded-barrel compatibility, with front sights up to 0.4 inch |
| Price checked | $79.20 on sale October 31, 2026 (regular $99) |
This takes the place of the connected-magazine-carrier pick in earlier versions of this guide. Choose the exact Glock, hand and light in StealthGear’s selector; the claw kit and magazine carrier are packaged separately, and the carrier adds width to the setup.
Source checked October 31, 2026: StealthGear Ventcore 2.0 Appendix product page (Glock 43/43X selections and add-ons).
StealthGearUSA Ventcore 2.0 IWB Mini
| Design category | Hybrid IWB |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Current 2.0 Mini; SKU VC2MI |
| Pistol fit evidence | The maker uses a model selector; exact current Glock/MOS/light combinations were not individually confirmed. |
| Optic / light boundary | Current 2.0 page describes optic clearance; do not assign that feature automatically to older samples. |
The current reference uses the Ventcore 2.0 platform and a model-specific shell. The original narrative called it “Mini Ventcore” while the card names version 2.0; the generation of Corey’s sample is unconfirmed. Older 1.0 and current 2.0 parts should not be assumed interchangeable.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey said he enjoyed using his Mini Ventcore but found replacing the pistol in the holster more difficult than with a fully rigid shell. Retain that limitation: if a holster deforms, obstructs access or raises a fit concern, stop using it and consult the manufacturer rather than force the firearm into it.
Alien Gear ShapeShift 4.0
| Design category | Hybrid IWB |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | ShapeShift 4.0 IWB for Glock |
| Pistol fit evidence | The current page lists Glock 43 and explicitly Glock 43X (Non MOS). |
| Optic / light boundary | 43X MOS/rail and installed-optic clearance are not established for this reference. |
The source describes a reinforced base, CoolVent neoprene and adjustable cant and ride height. The holster belongs to the ShapeShift modular system; that is not a claim of compatibility with every Alien Gear shell or every Glock variant. No generic weight is applied to every configured version.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey regarded the ShapeShift’s adjustability as useful and its price as good value. Those are historical opinions; no current price advantage is asserted.
Tulster Contour OWB
| Design category | OWB rigid shell |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | TUL_CTR_G43X_BLK_RH; right-hand reference |
| Pistol fit evidence | Maker lists G43, G43X Silver/Black and G43X MOS with rail. |
| Optic / light boundary | Maker lists optic compatibility; no blanket attached-light fit is inferred. |
The reference lists Kydex construction, adjustable retention and belt-loop hardware. These are product features, not evidence that it will remain concealed under every garment. OWB identifies where the holster sits relative to the waistband, not whether carrying it is lawful in a given location.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey explicitly reported using the Contour when he used an OWB holster and appreciated its optic clearance. His personal use is retained without the former “you can’t go wrong” assurance.
Existing merchant reference: Tulster.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
Independence OWB Leather
| Design category | OWB leather |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Glock 43X Independence OWB; INDO-07_2001-R reference |
| Pistol fit evidence | The cited page is specifically titled Glock 43X; MOS/rail and Glock 43 interchangeability are not established here. |
| Optic / light boundary | No installed-optic or light compatibility is asserted for this reference. |
The maker lists full-grain leather and a reinforced belt loop. The existing affiliate route is a leather-holster collection, not this exact configured item. Previous claims about four layers, leather weight and three retention points are omitted because the current reference does not establish them.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey compared its feel with other leather holsters he had experienced. That broad experience is retained as context, not proof that a specific current 43X SKU was physically tested.
Existing merchant reference: WeThePeopleHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
CrossBreed Modular Belly Band
| Design category | Band plus molded modular holster |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Current reference: Modular Belly Band Package 2.0 |
| Pistol fit evidence | CrossBreed includes the package in its 43X MOS collection; exact model and accessory selections remain configuration-specific. |
| Optic / light boundary | The package exposes an electronic-sight selector; verify the actual selected configuration. |
The package includes a molded modular holster. A band-only item is separate and does not by itself establish trigger protection. The current 2.0 reference should not be treated as confirmation of the generation in Corey’s original evaluation. A flexible band is not a secure-storage substitute.
Original experience — Corey Rawlins: Corey preferred the molded trigger-guard shell to the elastic-only arrangements he had encountered. That safety-related observation is preserved without the blanket recommendation that it is “perfect” for running or for every body type.
Existing merchant reference: CrossBreedHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
CrossBreed Purse Defender
| Design category | Bag insert plus modular holster |
|---|---|
| Reference identity | Standard Purse Defender; not Small Purse Defender |
| Pistol fit evidence | Product page names Glock 43; the maker’s 43X MOS collection also lists the standard system. Exact shell configuration must be confirmed. |
| Optic / light boundary | Pistol, light/laser and optic fields are separate. Bag size alone does not establish firearm fit. |
The standard panel is listed as 9 inches wide by 6 inches tall with a 3-inch base. It comes with a modular holster; the handbag is not included. The maker’s Q&A notes it does not fit every purse. Keep the trigger protected and prevent unauthorized access; an insert is not a locking safe.
Existing merchant reference: CrossBreedHolsters.com. Exact model selection and current terms remain the merchant’s responsibility.
What the Current Fit Evidence Leaves Open
Tulster’s cited Profile, OATH and Contour references explicitly list G43, G43X Silver/Black and G43X MOS with rail. That frame list must be read alongside each product’s optic restrictions. The original Profile remains non-optic-compatible; OATH and Contour identify optic compatibility. Profile+ adds optic compatibility as a separate series, according to Tulster’s support explanation.
CrossBreed’s 43X MOS collection lists MiniTuck, Modular Belly Band Package 2.0 and Purse Defender. That is evidence that the maker offers configurations in this family; it is not proof that every optic, light or previously manufactured shell fits. Its product selectors distinguish the firearm, accessory and, where offered, electronic sight.
StealthGear’s Ventcore 2.0 Appendix selector lists Glock 43, 43X/43X MOS and TLR-6 / TLR-7 Sub versions (checked October 31, 2026). The Ventcore Mini page establishes its series features, but this review did not confirm every Glock/MOS/light selector combination. Independence pages also describe more than one design generation. Where an exact combination is not established above, the fit remains unverified rather than assumed.
Corey’s Experience and Evidence Limits
Corey Rawlins, the site’s original owner, supplied the historical firsthand ownership and handling observations retained in the entries. His reports about the Profile, We The People models, Mini Ventcore and Contour remain attributed to him. Preferences about OATH, ShapeShift value and the belly band’s molded shell are likewise identified as personal impressions rather than new tests.
The surviving article does not consistently identify each sample’s exact shell, generation, pistol configuration, dates or duration of use. It supplies no standardized retention-force dataset, safety certification or controlled comfort comparison. This revision checked sources and edited the page; it did not physically handle or test the products. Missing measurements are not replaced with invented scores.
Fit, Condition and Responsible Ownership

A holster should protect the trigger from access, retain the intended firearm and remain securely attached using the manufacturer’s intended hardware. Follow the firearm and holster instructions. Confirm fit only with the firearm unloaded and in a safe setting; obtain qualified help if you are unsure. An audible click or a comfortable fit alone does not certify safety.
Stop using a holster if it is cracked, distorted, missing hardware, interfering with the trigger area or no longer retaining the firearm as intended. Do not cut or heat a shell to create undocumented optic or accessory clearance. Ask the manufacturer to resolve the fit concern. Tulster’s cited product guidance specifically says to stop use if the holster cracks or breaks.
Leather and flexible backers require attention to wear and deformation. If material obstructs the holster opening or trigger area, do not force the firearm into it. Corey’s reported Mini Ventcore difficulty is retained as a limitation, not turned into advice to work around an unsafe fit. This article does not replace practical instruction from a qualified professional.
A bag insert or belly band is not a locking storage device. Prevent children and unauthorized people from accessing the firearm; do not leave a bag containing a firearm unattended. When a firearm is not in use, follow Project ChildSafe’s guidance to store it unloaded in locked storage inaccessible to unauthorized people, with ammunition locked separately. Follow applicable local law.
Glock 43 and 43X Holster Questions

Does a Glock 43X fit a Glock 43 holster?
Sometimes, when the holster maker explicitly lists both for that shell. The cited Tulster models do; that does not extend the claim to every other brand or version. Confirm the rail, optic, light and handedness boundaries separately.
Does “43X MOS compatible” mean an installed optic will clear?
No. The original Tulster Profile reference lists the bare MOS frame but is not optic-compatible. Read the optic-clearance statement in addition to the pistol-model list. Optic compatibility also does not establish attached-light fit.
Is the original Profile the same as Profile+?
No. Tulster describes Profile+ as adding optic compatibility to a reworked version of the original design. Its hardware and trim differ. Identify which series the actual product is rather than applying either description to both.
Does ShapeShift 4.0 support the 43X MOS?
The current Glock product page reviewed lists “Glock 43X (Non MOS).” This article does not establish MOS or rail fit for that reference. The presence of Glock 43 elsewhere in the selector does not expand the 43X designation.
Are Independence IWB and Independence Slimfit interchangeable names?
No. The original Independence IWB reference has tuckable clips and configuration fields. The newer Slimfit page describes a size-based, semi-universal leather design. A Glock-named Slimfit page does not establish that the original sample or card is the same product.
Can a purse insert fit any bag?
No. CrossBreed states the Purse Defender does not fit every purse. The panel size, actual modular shell, bag structure and prevention of unauthorized access all matter. The standard and Small Purse Defender are separate products. An insert does not make a bag a secure storage container.
Sources and Review Notes
Primary manufacturer references accompany all 12 entries. The fit review distinguishes explicit model listings from series-level feature descriptions and unconfirmed selector combinations. Generic construction, popularity and “perfect fit” claims have not been treated as independent proof. Historical price impressions are retained only as Corey’s opinions; fixed color counts and unverified layer-count claims are removed.
The October 19 repaired text-link destinations and the 12 existing product-card identities remain in place. No shared product records or redirects were changed. This review does not verify retailer stock, coupon eligibility, affiliate account approval or credited transactions. Publication is also not evidence of recovered traffic or increased revenue.
